Each personally signed by HDT driver Bob Morris who was Peter Brock's co-driver. Race winner Allan Moffat in a Falcon GT-HO led home a Ford 1-2 with the Don Holland Torana 3rd

The HDT Toranas qualified well with Bond 4th and the Brock/Morris car 6th. Various issues in the race slowed both Dealer Team cars and the Bond car ended up 16th and the Brock/Morris car 37th .
